ORLANDO, Fla. Easton Stick Jersey . -- Arron Afflalo didnt make a big fuss after his name wasnt among those announced this week as reserve selection for the All-Star game. Whether he was just hiding his disappointment or not, he went out Friday night and reminded the Milwaukee Bucks of why he was worthy of discussion. Afflalo scored 21 points in three quarters of work, Tobias Harris added 18 and the Orlando Magic ran to a 113-102 victory. The Magic snapped a three-game losing streak and extended their home winning streak over Milwaukee to 16 games. "There are certain feelings you get at certain points in your life, whether its a motivating factor or something that you looked forward to that didnt happen," said Afflalo, who came in averaging career highs in points, rebounds and assists. "But for me its created a new level of passion and a new level of hunger." Orlando led by as many as 25 points and had six players reach double-figures. Victor Oladipo finished with 15 points and seven assists, and Nik Vucevic had 12 points and six rebounds in his second game back from a concussion. Vucevic, who had had missed 12 straight games, played 25 minutes -- about five minutes more than he did in his return against Toronto earlier in the week. He was productive with his time on the floor, connecting on 5 of 9 field goal attempts. Magic coach Jacque Vaughn said Vucevic did ask to be taken out of the game after playing just over five minutes in the fourth quarter. Vaughn acknowledged he might have pushed him a bit too hard, but expected him to be OK. Vaughn was pleased with his teams effort, particularly how they shared the ball. "Everyone who played tonight had an assist," he said. "For us to score the basketball we need each other. Tonight was definitely an example of us playing together." The only other bad news the Magic got Friday came in the form of another injury. Point guard Jameer Nelson played the entire first quarter, but sat out the remainder of the game with a sore left knee. He is day to day. Caron Butler scored 20 points for Milwaukee, which lost its fifth straight game. The Bucks have lost 14 of their last 15 and eight straight on the road. Milwaukee played without John Henson, who was out with a sprained right wrist. O.J. Mayo missed his third consecutive game with an illness. Henson and Mayos absences were felt as the Magic quickly jumped out to a double-digit lead in the first half that grew to as many as 22 points in the opening 24 minutes. The margin hovered above 20 for most of the second half with the Bucks never getting back within single digits. "It was frustrating, but you have to keep playing," Khris Middleton said. "Sometimes you put yourself in a position to win and sometimes you cant." The Magic scored a season-high 67 points in the first half and took a 21-point lead into the break. Afflalo led all scorers with 17 first-half points, with Vucevic adding 12 and Maurice Harkless 10. Orlando dominated in the paint as well, outscoring the Bucks 30-18. The Magic also were active in the open court with a 12-3 edge in fast-break points. Milwaukee came out misfiring and ended the half connecting on just 18 of 41 field goal attempts. That was compounded by 13 turnovers that led to 17 Orlando points. "Its good for us," Oladipo said. "We played well as a team, we did a lot of good things. We kind of took our foot off the gas in the fourth quarter, but other than that we played a pretty good game." Afflalo said regardless of the Magics record, he doesnt plan on slowing down the rest of the season. "Sometimes the NBA season is so long, when youre losing games you kind of get in this autopilot type of mode, but Ive got an extreme fire burning overall, not even about tonight," he said. "I just think my focus is going to be heightened, every little thing that I do." NOTES: The Magic improved to 3-26 when their opponent scores 100 or more points. ... Milwaukee coach Larry Drew said centre Zaza Pachulia, who has missed 27 straight games with a fractured right foot, is "close" but still not ready to return to the court Jerry Tillery Jersey . I kept my eyes focused up on the camera during each approach. I just tried to stay focused on my form, as I didnt know what the ball reaction was. I was quite emotional at the end. I did not actually see any of the shots in the game until I got home and watched the video. Dan Fouts Jersey . Rudy Gay made the tying basket in regulation and a 3-pointer in overtime that gave Sacramento the lead for good, and Fredette scored a career-high 24 points to help the Kings beat the Knicks 106-101 on Wednesday night. http://www.cheapchargersjerseysauthentic.com/?tag=authentic-drue-tranquill-jersey . - The Raiders have released guard Mike Brisiel after two disappointing seasons in Oakland.VANCOUVER -- The man who coached the Canadian womens soccer team to a historic bronze medal at the London Olympics has made a long-term commitment to remain with the program. John Herdman said extending his contract with the Canadian Soccer Association through the 2020 Summer Games gives him the chance to build on what has already been accomplished. "Its a wonderful opportunity to be able to lead a legacy," the told a news conference Thursday. "We have been planning for a 10-year plan since I came into the organization. "To know you can actually see that through and youve got the backing and support of people, its a great place be a leader." Peter Montopoli, the CSAs general secretary, said the agreement brings continuity to the womens team. Herdmans previous contract ran through the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Canada will host the 2015 FIFA Womens World Cup with the championship game being played at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver. Herdman will now also guide the program through the 2019 World Cup and 2020 Olympic Games. "John is the inspiration and the leader of the program," said Montopoli. "There is nobody better in the world that we believe can lead the program." Herdman, an Englishman, took over the Canadian womens program in 2011. The bronze at the London Olympics was the first Canadian medal in a traditional team sport at a Summer Games since 1936. There had been speculation Herdman could leave the CSA after Hope Powell, the long-time coach of Englands womens team, was fired this summer. Family and friends were calling Herdman, asking him if he was coming home. "Youre grandma is ringing, your moms ringing, your brother," he said. "Everyone is saying you are coming home." Herdman said the situation in England "brought some real clarity" to what he wanted to do in Canada. The 38-year-old father of two said his wife and family enjoy living in Vancouver, adding "Canada is where we wanted to be." Montopoli said the CSA had been speaking with Herdman about an extension for a number of months. "No matter what was happening in England or not, it was something that was going to happen," he said. "It just took some time." National team veteran Sophie Schmidt said its a relief knowing Herdman isnt leaving. "Its comforting," said the midfielder. "As soon as I heard news about the whole English thing I had this unsettled feeling in my stomach. "He means so much for the team. Its such a relief to know that hes here for a significant amount of time. Doug Flutie Jersey. " Part of Herdmans long-term vision is to improve development programs in Canada to produce more players like national team captain Christine Sinclair. "Now the things that we planned we can progressively put in place so we have a world-class womens national team (and) a world-class development system that underpins it," he said. "Weve always said the womens national team is the priority. But realistically, unless the conveyor belt is right, then we wont see more Sinclairs very often. We have to have more Sinclairs, more often, to keep this team on the podium consistently." In time, Herdman may step away from coaching. "Hopefully Im not coaching in the 2019 World Cup or Olympics," he said. "One of my goals would be to have women leading women moving forward. I would love to see one of these national team players, with all their experience, stepping forward into that role. "When they are ready, somebody will do that, but you have to be ready. You have to have someone with those world-class capabilities." Schmidt said defender Carmelina Moscato or midfielder Diana Matheson have the potential to be future national team coaches. Montopoli said Herdmans long-term role hasnt been defined. "He will certainly be involved in womens football across the country. It will develop. It will be evolving," Montopoli said. "Certainly John will be overseeing almost everything that is going on, on the womens side." The CSA also announced the womens team will play Mexico in an international friendly Nov. 24 at BC Place. Canada beat Mexico at the Olympic qualifying tournament in Vancouver to advance to the London Games. Herdman said he will use that game to introduce some new players to the lineup. "It wont be the same people playing as weve seen back two years ago," he said. Herdman was head coach of the New Zealand womens national team from 2006 to 2011. He joined the Canadian program after former coach Carolina Morace quit following Canadas last-place finish at the 2011 Womens World Cup in German. Under Herdman, the Canadian women won the gold medal at the Pan-Am Games in Mexico later that year before reaching the podium in London. Herdman understands the team now faces high expectations. "As soon as you get on a podium expectations are up," he said. "The goal for us is Canada should be able to podium consistently."
